The School by now had found its bearings chartered out already. It had become a Higher Secondary School and added an English Medium section. Ever sensitive to the social changes and needs, the school was poised for other goals. An aspiring upwardly mobile upper middle class was growing conscious of the yawning gap between the quality of education being provided in the cities and the upcountry centres.
The Matriculation School was born in the year 1983. Again, the Board thought of creating a separate section for Boys of the Matriculation school as it would be ideal to provide boys and girls their separate and unique atmosphere to grow uninhibited in their own environments. This needed more area of land to put up the needed buildings separately for the boys.
Ever interested in the growth of education and in the progress of the school the Jagatguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam gave on lease through his Golden Jublee Trust a tract of land near the Kailasanathar Temple.
